The Canberra Burns Club Pipe Band is proud to announce that we took out first place in Grade 4A at the NSW Pipe Band Championships in Maitland, earning the title of Grade 4A State Champions.
It was a fantastic day of music and camaraderie, with bands from across New South Wales and the ACT coming together to compete and celebrate the best of piping and drumming. The event was hosted by The City of Maitland Pipes and Drums, who did an outstanding job in organising such a well-run and welcoming contest. Our thanks also go to the organisers, judges and volunteers who made the day possible.
This result is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the band — from the players on the field to our learners, families and supporters who help behind the scenes. Every performance, practice night and bit of preparation contributed to this great outcome.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Canberra Burns Club for its ongoing support. The Club’s continued encouragement and generosity play a vital role in the band’s success and in helping us represent Canberra on the competition field.
The band’s next appearance will be at the St Andrew’s Night celebrations on Saturday, 29 November at the Canberra Burns Club. We’re looking forward to an evening of music, friendship and celebration — and we hope to see many of our supporters there!
