The Canberra Burns Club Pipe Band had a great day out in Sydney on Sunday, 26 October, taking first place at the Scots College Band Contest in Bellevue Hill.
The event brought together bands from across New South Wales and the ACT, with strong performances all around and a great atmosphere throughout the day. The band was pleased with how our sets came together on the field and proud to see everyone’s hard work paying off.
A big thank you goes to the organisers at Scots College for hosting such a well-run contest, and to all those who came along to support the bands and enjoy the music.
With Scots now behind us, the band is looking ahead to the NSW Pipe Band Championships in Maitland on Sunday, 2 November. We’re looking forward to another full day of piping and drumming, catching up with friends, and representing Canberra on the competition field once again.
